Meet our Plain City authors!
Dana Emrick is a children's author, storyteller, and mother from small-town Ohio who has dreamed of writing books since she was nine years old. Inspired by the beauty found in everyday family life, Dana writes heartfelt stories that celebrate childhood, home, motherhood, and the fleeting magic of growing up.
Her debut children's book, A Place for Everything, was inspired by her life with her two boys and the joyful chaos that fills a family home. The story gently reminds readers that even in the messiest moments, love is what truly gives life meaning.
When she's not writing, Dana can often be found reading with her boys, creating art, photographing everyday moments, and embracing the simple beauty of homestead life with her family
Liza Johnson is the author of The ABC's of Plain City, a board book highlighting treasured landmarks of the Plain City, Ohio community.

Come meet a group of Husky puppies who are working to become a sled dog team. They live in Alaska and would love to meet you! In 2019, retired teacher, Lisa Yoder, took a cruise to Alaska, where she met a litter of Husky puppies. Lisa is part of a folk music group and she kept looking for a song about sled dogs. Unable to find one, she wrote a song and eventually created this book centered around the song.
