Learn how to create beautiful books by hand using Japanese stab binding.
Learn the art of Japanese stab binding. This style of bookbinding is done on the outside of a book and creates a decorative pattern across the spine of the book. There are many styles of Japanese stab binding that create different patterns and images on the spine, but we will be focusing on the basic 4-hole binding. At the end of this workshop, you will leave with a finished 20-page 8.5 x 11 in. blank paperback book.
For ages 10 and up. Registration is required.
