A learning workshop with the Armstrong Air & Space Museum
Join the Armstrong Air & Space Museum education staff as they discuss something you can do with others across the country and the world: observe celestial events!
Discover how solar eclipses work and design your own eclipse observer out of household materials. With the observer, one can look at an eclipse without hurting their eyes from the sun!
No registration is required. Groups are welcome to bring a blanket to sit on. Chairs will only be permitted in back row spaces and preference will be given to visitors requiring mobility devices.
COSI Learning Lunchboxes will also be available at this event! All children who attend will go home with a James Webb Space Telescope Learning Lunchbox, courtesy of COSI and the Village of Plain City Parks & Recreation Department. Boxes include 5 space learning activities including building and launching your own rocket! Learning Lunchboxes are designed for kids in grades K-8 and will continue to be made available after this program at the Library and the Village Municipal Building while supplies last.
